1. Overview
This Refund & Returns Policy applies to all products and services supplied by TechieTools.
TechieTools complies with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
2. Change of Mind
TechieTools does not offer refunds, returns or exchanges for:
- Change of mind.
- Incorrect product selection by the customer.
- The customer no longer requiring the product.
- The customer finding a cheaper product elsewhere.
- Delays outside TechieTools’ reasonable control.
Please choose carefully before placing your order.
3. Special Order and Custom Products
Products that are:
- specially ordered,
- customised,
- modified,
- manufactured to customer specifications, or
- made specifically for a customer’s application,
cannot be cancelled or returned once the order has been accepted unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
4. Non-Refundable Costs
Where a refund is approved by TechieTools, or where a refund is otherwise required by law, the following costs are non-refundable to the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Packing and packaging costs.
- Freight and transport charges.
- Shipping and delivery fees.
- Machine commissioning and installation costs.
- On-site labour and travel expenses.
- Training services.
- Service call fees.
- Software installation or configuration.
- Consumables and expendable parts.
- Inspection, testing, cleaning and refurbishment costs.
- Any reasonable expenses incurred by TechieTools in relation to the supply, recovery or return of the product.
5. Returns Approved by TechieTools
Where TechieTools agrees to accept a return outside the customer’s statutory rights:
The customer must:
- Obtain written approval before returning any goods.
- Return the complete product with all accessories, manuals and packaging where available.
- Ensure the equipment is adequately packaged for transport.
- Pay all transport and insurance costs unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Returned equipment will be inspected before any refund is determined.
If equipment has been used, damaged, modified, installed, or is incomplete, TechieTools reserves the right to reduce or refuse any discretionary refund to the extent permitted by law.
6. Faulty Products
If a product develops a fault, customers should contact TechieTools as soon as reasonably possible.
Where required under Australian Consumer Law, TechieTools will provide an appropriate remedy, which may include:
- repair,
- replacement,
- refund, or
- another remedy required by law.
TechieTools may inspect or test the product before determining the appropriate remedy.
7. Limitation of Refunds
Where permitted by law, any approved refund will relate only to the purchase price paid for the affected product.
TechieTools is not liable for indirect or consequential losses including, but not limited to:
- loss of production,
- business interruption,
- lost profits,
- loss of contracts,
- loss of opportunity,
- transport costs,
- installation costs,
- commissioning costs,
- labour costs, or
- any other consequential loss,
except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Legal Costs
If legal proceedings arise in connection with the purchase of goods or services from TechieTools, the successful party is entitled to recover its reasonable legal costs and disbursements to the maximum extent permitted by law.
9. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this Refund & Returns Policy limits or excludes any consumer guarantees, rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
